there are two photos which i was asked to only use in my teaching and not on the internet because the people in the photos are revolutionaries for the Kingdom in their country in asia, so they asked to remain anonymous. i love that. i would like to recognize them here to let them know that they are very much a part of this family. may you, friends, continue to change the world.)
i’m proud to be a part of this family and this kingdom. thank you all so so much for participating. you’re all going to star in my teaching on sunday. go here to watch the video.
again, thank you.

That’s so amazing, Josh. Amazing that it came together as it did. Amazing that it was a community effort. Amazing that we’re part of this kingdom together.
Kudos, everyone.
I have a few more names for you, by the way. ;) I’ll be emailing them shortly, if you choose to make use of them.

It did not disappoint–beautiful on so many levels.
Thank you.
Joshua… Amazing. Vivid Piquancy without words… it gave me chills! I definately want to hear your teaching. I loved the message, also… thanks for the call. When I get my life back in about 48 hours, you may be the first person I call. Im so glad this turned out so well :)
Thankful to be part of this family. Let’s keep the family growing…
Came here by way of Dana to see the pics…very inspiring. Thanks for doing this!
Btw, I am the church.
PS: props to my peeps in Fort Fun.
beautiful
debra…you make me smile. the pic was definitely you. glad you partook . love.
Thanks, Sheryl.
I’m not complaining, but you said I (BrittneyB) was from AK, which is Alaska. AR is Arkansas. I get it all the time, so no permanent damage done.
This is an amazing project. Thank you for doing this and allowing me to be a part of it. Kick some rear and open people’s eyes.
awesome…it always amazes me how much I put God in a box, and then I see this and see how universal He is…very powerful
body of christ…sweet…

Lovely. I can’t wait to see it all come together.
sorry about the few errors. there were quite a few photos to upload so i’m sure there are even more mistakes that i missed. if something is wrong then please let me know and i’ll correct it.
this is the best post i’ve ever seen.
you (church)- in all you’re diversity and differences, denominations and dogmas; you are BEAUTIFUL!
i am honored to be apart of all of you.
If I might recommend a little more work on your end that will let more people see this…
Set up a (free) Flickr site (flickr.com/photos/iamthechurch/ is available) with these photos. That way, more people will see them outside your blog audience, and they’ll get the bonus of being able to view them all in a handy slideshow. Also, tag all of them with “iamthechurch” so that anyone else who wants to participate can tag their photos likewise, and we can start a Flickr Group for I Am The Church photos.
In fact, you have a sermon to prepare for… I’ll do it. You have an email coming.
what cool photographers there are out there amongst the church!
lacey hearty — by far the coolest.
Amazing! Can’t wait to hear the message to go with it :)
The best part is when you read a guy’s blog whom you have never met, and you just happen to see a picture of your brother, who lives 2,000 miles away from you! God is good and the body of Christ is amazing!
I love that each one of the people in these pictures represents a series of unique and individual struggles and hardships. Even better is that that struggles and hardships are overcome with joy and brotherhood. I love that location and personality present no difficulty too great to be taken. I love that throughout the distinguished(dis‧tin‧guished-made conspicuous by excellence) circumstances of each life, each heartache, each punishment, there is a very common, very powerful goal:
the supremecy of God in Christ Jesus.
k.d. - beautiful thoughts.
Joshua - beautiful post.
Father God - beautiful people…
So….all I can say is, small world because I randomly decided to look at your blog (cause I was looking at Ben’s and wandered over). And as I look through these pics I stop on the one that says “Iowa City, IA” because I’m from Iowa. And, not lying, I know that girl!! Liz. We weren’t good friends or anything, but we went to Salt Company together at Iowa State before I came to Nashville. So strange that this is the place where I’d see her again.
this is incredibly stunning.
an amazing art form. with such meaning behind the words.
im preparing for a journey of leaving everything i know, to trust God and be a missionary in africa. this totally reinforced everything i know, and its like a calm has come before me. thanks so much for everything that you dont even realize you did for me.
this is one of the coolest –conceptually and aesthetically–collections of artwork i’ve yet to see.
freaking awesome.
“let Your Kingdom come…”
