Acknowledge My Accomplishments!
July 16th, 2009Upon signing the attendance sheet for the last day of this philosophy intensive I’ve been in, I gloried in the fact that I have actually been to class every day. All the boxes have my initials in them. Perfect attendance. Give me a certificate! Granted, the class was only over the course of 4 days, but each class was 8 hours long. So, you know, major accomplishment.
Tom, my TA, and I had this conversation immediately after I signed my name:
ME: Tom, I had perfect attendance for this class.
TOM: Congratulations on doing what is expected of you.
ME: Touché.

I, for one, congratulate you my friend.
I sure as hell couldn’t (and didn’t) have perfect attendance in that class. I tried.
Failed.
Well done good sir.
lol
I was acknowledged for 6 straight years of perfect attendance at my high school graduation, so take THAT!
I was much dorkier back then.
6 straight years of perfect attendance in highschool….you spent a lot of time in highschool.
Sheesh, my college was always expecting students to be at classes too. There was even some hullabaloo about us being awake during them.
i was very impressed, but somehow missed the word ‘intensive’. i barely trump you with a 5DAY 8 HOUR intensive, and i begin another tomorrow…..here’s hoping for perfect attendance again.
really, no matter how much we try to achieve that, nan has us beat by decades
