it is only as large as our experience.

the missionary knows it as long-suffering and joy.

the tourist knows it as sights and souvenirs.

the soldier knows it as death and fear.

the corporation knows it as a market place.

the texan knows it as texas.

the mother knows it as children and soccer games.

the starving child knows it as hunger and pain.

the homeless know it as sidewalks, underpasses, and the kindness neglect of a stranger.

the newborn knows it as newness and wonder.

it is only as small as our experience.

please help me to experience it.

100 Words are shorts that I’ve asked my friends to write on various subjects. They are intended to be small windows into how they view the world and experience reality. The only instructions they are given are a.) a one-word subject on which to write and b.) that the short must be exactly 100 words. How they interpret the subject and the form in which the 100 words are produced is up to them.

It’s wonder how many worlds are out there. Might be around 7 billion.
