Two of my favorite things in Fort Wayne, Indiana:

Firefly Coffee House

Coffee in the Midwest can’t be compared to coffee in the Pacific Northwest. I don’t hold it against the Midwest, but it’s simply not important out here. Firefly has a lot of redeeming funk and character, and that’s what kept bringing back during the years I lived here.

Across the street from the Firefly is Retroactive:

Retroactive has an incredible amount of vintage clothing. I bought a few cardigans and some other goodies. Rose owns it, and her checkout counter tells you a lot about her personality. Full.

It smells a bit like moths in there, but I suppose one would expect it. Nevertheless, there is vintage gold in there, and I have never left empty handed.
