Drove 15 hours yesterday from Riga, Latvia to Krakow, Poland. Lauree got pulled over. 3rd time. 3rd time without getting a ticket. I ALWAYS get a ticket. Dropped off the rental car. Got on a train from Krakow to Bohumin, Czech. Sat in first class. Kind of posh. Not really at all. Our train got in late to Bohumin and we missed our connecting train. Typical. Had to get a taxi to finish out the last 20 miles.

Got in the cab. Driver spoke no English. Not a big deal.

Usually cab drivers have the radio on, and the music is from their own country. Not this cabbie. He was of a different breed.

He was playing MANOWAR.

I was thrilled.

Which totally put me in a flashback to Joey:

Joey first introduced me to MANOWAR, and I will never be the same.

God wanted you to miss that train so you could hear manowar.

Hilarious! I still tell people about Joey, and I don’t even know him! Though I haven’t told anybody about him in a while… still one of my favorite blog entries. Hope the travels are safe and fun brother!
