Rijeka, Croatia

July 17th, 2008

Spent 4 days in Rijeka, Croatia. I heard that Rick Steves said that Rijeka is one of the worst towns to visit in Croatia. I disagree. Stayed with Stevo and Sarah for two nights and at a hostel for another two nights.

As introverted as I am, I’ve begun to break out of my shell and do the unthinkable: Ask complete strangers if I can take their photograph. Above are Dragon, Oscar from Finland, and Deena.

There were a few guys from L.A. at the camp we were at who were teaching the kids how to breakdance. When they asked if I wanted to try, I mumbled something like No, er, see I’ve got this camera here. In my hands. Right now. It’d be awkward. I’d be awkward. Where’s the bathroom?

This is Stevo and Sarah’s house, where I had a very comfortable matress on the floor and great coffee in the morning.

Great few days there, but then right back on the road.
