Ljubljana, slovenia
July 6th, 2008

Those three shots are from Ljubljana, and the one below is from a small town called Bled.

Today we’ll do some more shooting at a camp, and then load up the Skoda and drive 8 hours to Romania via Serbia, where we’ll spend one day shooting. After that, it’s back in the car to drive back across Serbia to Rijeka, Croatia.
And my iPod broke on the plane. Convenient. If I squeeze the bottom right corner of it, it’ll work, but the second I let go just a tad it fizzles out. Looks like we’ll be listening to a lot of Eastern European radio (read: 1992 American radio). One can’t have enough of Celine Dion.
Your photos make me look forward to my trip to countries you are visiting. Can’t wait for more inspiration.
THAT IS SO FUNNY! I just wrote my post for today and talked about 1992 American music because that’s the only American music played here. I woke up to it blaring this morning in a shop below me.
See, its like we’re together after all. Are you in the shop next to me?
I knew it.
[...] mind when hearing this old, alternative music? i felt the need to re-edit this post and mention his post today because of the similar music reference. makes me feel not so far from him as, in reality, we [...]
horray for 1992. matched only in groovyness by 1984.
i love both of you.
lake bled is one of the most beautiful places in slovenia! my friend married a slovenian and they took part of their honeymoon there. btw. i have spent some time in ljubljanja and i love how nostalgic you made the old city look. it always seemed much more modern in my eyes, but maybe because it was the nearest large city to where i was living. sorry about the pod!
i’m so jealous of your trip! mainly of the celine dion part.
That last photo from Ljubljana is awesome. I do love the wide angle.
@Jeff: 16-35 has become my current favorite lens.
Dude, have you heard of Girl Talk. This dude blends tons of different music together (like Kelly Clarkson and Nine Inch Nails or Sinead O’Connor and Lil Wayne).
Anyways, I feel like that guy spent a summer in Eastern Europe and then said, I’m going to take everything I heard on the radio in one hour and toss it in a blender, puree that bad boy, and make a CD out of it…
