[i am the church] video

December 6th, 2006

about a month ago i taught at my local gathering and used the photos that quite a few people sent in for a community photo project. greg generously offered to host the video on his .mac account. if you are interested, go here to watch the teaching.

thanks to everyone who sent in a photograph. look for your photo on the screens.

and oh yes, that is a cardigan.

and chances are that as you’re reading this, i’m wearing it.

i am the church teaching

thanks greg.

    thank you.

when i bought the cardigan at the salvation army i was debating between it and a black v-neck sweater.

    the sweater was itchy.

    i went with the cardigan.

    haven’t looked back sense.

yay, my picture’s on the screen!
    i feel cool.
i don’t, however, feel cool that i can’t get the thingy to work — it won’t play.
    might be my computer.
i can just imagine what you talked about, inserting facial expressions and hand gestures…
    i have a good imagination.

I listened to your pod cast. It was really great. i am spiritual but not exactly religious and I thought the messagewas really great. You sounded a bit nervous….right fully so I guess ;-)

josh, hey, i got something you should check out, along the lines of all this who is the church stuff. go to the free download stuff on iTunes and download Episode 1 of One Punk Under God. I’ve only been able to watch like the first 5 minutes of it because of exams, but it looks really interesting. it’s about a totally different church style that jay baker (the son of jim and tammy faye bakker) started. should probably do it soon cuz i have no idea how long it will be up.

  16. calebtedder @ December 11th, 2006 at 1:31 pm:

ok, so i watched the video today, not really what i thought it was going to be about, sorry. more about his relationship with his dad than his church. the stuff about his church is kinda interesting though, can’t say i agree with parts of it, and even wonder if the guy knows what a christian really is, but, whatever.

    hey Joshua,

still find your 2006-action with the `i am the church’ pics very cool. maybe it’s nice to learn that some people are picking it up in sometimes more serious, somtimes ironic ways. by example my own somehow ironic, somehow critical one (check my weblog).

    bless,

    peTer (the Netherlands)
